Juneau has a very diverse landscape, as well as, diverse people. Outside the city one can find all sorts of opportunities to hike. Although some decide to explore on their own, guided tours offer a safe way to see more of this city.
One of the excursions available to travelers of Norwegian cruise lines, is a helicopter tour of Juneau. Cruise to the Baltic
Cruise to the Baltic For a Helsinki Stay
Cruise and stay holidays offer a fantastic opportunity to explore a particular region before taking a traditional break in one destination.
The Baltic is one area that is well-suited to such holidays, thanks to its many magnificent port stops - such as Copenhagen, St Petersburg and Gothenburg.
One idea for a Baltic holiday might be to take a cruise through the region before stopping for a two-week stay in one of the most interesting cities in Scandinavia - Helsinki.
With a past going back to 1550, the Finnish capital is old enough to house numerous interesting museums and historical attractions, while also being young enough to boast a lively, dynamic atmosphere.
The main museums in Helsinki include the Ateneum Art Museum, which has some significant art collections from the 1750s through to the 1960s, while the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma's exhibits are more modern.
Elsewhere, the National Museum of Finland offers a fascinating insight into the country's history, with displays dating back to the prehistoric era. The Seurasaari Open-Air Museum, meanwhile, explores the typical Finnish home as it was in the 18th to the 20th century.
Child-friendly attractions in Helsinki include Sea Life for lovers of all things watery and nature-related, while Linnanmaki Amusement Park is a fairground providing some old-fashioned but fun rides for all the family.
If architecture is more your thing, make sure you check out Helsinki's main religious buildings. The Helsinki Cathedral is a neoclassical wonder built in the mid-19th century, while the awe-inspiring Temppeliaukio Church is constructed directly from natural bedrock and is a popular music venue thanks to its amazing acoustics.
The Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral is also a perfect example of how eastern and western influences combine in Finland, thanks to its Russian cupola-based design.
Food lovers will want to make sure they sample as much as possible of Finland's exquisite cuisine, which is very much focused on simple, pure tastes and is reliant on key ingredients such as berries, fish, mushrooms and various vegetables.
Other potential holiday activities in Helsinki include shopping, playing golf, going cycling and taking tours and excursions to destinations near the city - such as Tallinn and St Petersburg.

European River Cruise
European River Cruise Deals 2010
European river cruising is a fantastic way to visit countries like Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, The Netherlands, Russia, Egypt, France & Italy. There is no shortage of excursions either with all those historical, culture rich cities, medieval villages, castles and Gothic architecture along the way.
There is presently ferocious competition in the cruise line market. Competitors are offer competitive European River cruising deals 2010. Some of these discounted packages may not offer the value expect. Hidden charges can easily escalate the true final cost of a cruise trip.
How do you find the best European river cruise deals 2010? My top tips are as follows:
• Research in advance of booking,
• Set a budget
• Be flexible in your choices
• Avoid the glossy brochures and pictures,
• Ask the right questions.
I suggest you employ both online internet and off line resources.
Research: In your research for European River cruise deals 2010 I suggest you use both online and off line resources. Find the main operators offering European River Cruises 2010.
For a start, check out the following:
* AMA Waterways
* Avalon Waterways,
* Uniworld River Cruises,
* Viking River Cruises
* Tauck River Cruises
If you visit each of the above cruise company web sites you will get an idea of their various cruise packages. i.e which rivers they cruise, the countries you will visit, the various excursions and their duration. Cruises can extend from a short 3 days up to a grand 32 days. There is something to match most peoples vacation time.
Having visited the various web sites I would create a short list of river cruises that attract you and note their prices. When on the above web sites, I would have a look for the "European river cruising deals 2010 link" or similar "specials or discounts" buttons.
In particular, see if any of your preferred cruises are listed in the special offer or discounted categories. If they are this is where you will probably need to be flexible. There will normally be particular dates for the "special price".
Now that you have some ideas as to where you would like to cruise, possible fares, special deals from the cruise companies, I would start checking out the travel agents web sites. Normally you would expect booking direct with the cruise line companies (no middle men) would get you the best deal but this is not always the case. Check to be sure. At this point you should have a short list of cruise deals 2010.
Now it is important to be smart and ask the right questions of the cruise companies or the travel agents. Specifically, what is included in the package and what is not? I hope my suggestions help you find a European river cruise deal in 2010 and that you will be enjoying the cruise of your choice next year.

World Cruise
What Will I See on My World Cruise?
Well Dream Cruiser,
What you will see depends on which cruise line you and your travel genie choose as the best fit for your personal style. Do you want country club casual or dressing to the nines? Do you want large numbers of fellow world cruisers or a more intimate experience. Do you want an adventure expedition filled with learning opportunities or do you want a more relaxed and restful cruise with some learning sprinkled in? Do you want luxury, high premium or a premium experience?
We will chose one cruise line for this article and focus on what you will see on their version of the world cruise. Then each following article will focus on another line. You may see duplicate ports but each cruise may focus on a different experience in the same port. OK what would you like to see first?
Starting in alphabetical order the current cruise lines that offer the world cruise are Cruise West, Crystal, Cunard, Fred Olsen, Holland America, P&O Cruises, Princess, Regent Seven Seas, Seabourn and Silversea. That's 10 cruise lines and 10 articles.
Cruise West
What you will see first is 113 other world cruise adventurers who enjoy the thrill of entering waterways that larger ships dare not go. These guest are looking forward to the naturists guides who offer tons of information on wildlife, historical events and nature. You will see a casual atmosphere with no dressing up for meals or formal nights. You will see intimate lounges where local acts will perform shows which seems like are just for you. Your vessel for this world cruise is the Spirit of Oceanus.
with 57 suites all with ocean views, TV/VCR, wardrobe or walk in closet. When you walk into your suite you will see a bowl of fresh fruit, bathrobes and a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary beverages. When you venture to the Sports deck into your view sits the pool and inviting hot tub. Explore below and discover the game room, exercise facility and library. When hunger hits you enjoy meals in a casual open seating setting which offers Continental cuisine and specialties from the region the ship is cruising.
The world cruise departs on March 5, 2010 from Singapore.
If you have almost the entire year for this adventure you can sail all 335 days or you can do segments as short as 10 days or as plentiful as 77. You will want to arrive a few days early in Singapore so you can experience all this exciting urban city has to offer. For a twist visit the world renowned Singapore Zoo at night. After seeing the animal culture visit the largest ethnic culture in Singapore with a visit to China Town where you will find interesting curio shops and taste local food. There are 3 more must see sights in Singapore such as Little India, Boat Quay and Sentosa but enough about Singapore I could write a book or two.
Ready to see the second largest beach in the world? Well a visit to Madras is home to Marina Beach. Be careful where you swim sharks love this area as well. A visit to Fort Museum, Kapaleeswarar Temple and San Thome Cathedral is sure to amaze and also Deer Park and Madras Snake Park.
Bombay (Mumbai)
You may see this wonderful place as a bit confused, is it a modern sky-scrapper city or a city filled with historical temples and buildings. The answer is, it is both. While you take in the contrast be sure to see Elephant Island with sixth century temples carved from rocks and the Towers of Silence plus the Prince of Wales museum.
Muscat, Oman
No one likes to see litter so the next site is a city known for cleanliness. I am dreaming about seeing the Sultan's palace at night and touring the fish market and forts and museums filled with history. You will not have to dream you are living your dream sailing the world.
Cairo/ Giza (Alexandria)
You have heard of the 7 wonders of the world? Well many of your fellow passengers will choose to visit the Great Pyramid of Giza and close by is the Sphinx. Now a choice, would you like to visit these sites on camel, horseback or on foot. I vote for camel. You can do this or just tour the harbor or relax on the beach.
Istanbul, Turkey
You have heard of the Blue Mosque and the amazing Grand Bazaar well hear is were you will see them. Often called "The Cradle of Civilization" with more Greek ruins than Greece and more Roman archaeological things to see than in Italy. How about soaking all your stresses away in a mineral mud bath.
Venice, Italy
More than just gondola rides it also has breath taking palazzos (impressive public buildings or palace), bridges and museums. Take in the Basilica and don't miss the Doges' Palace. If you are into glass making take a trip to Murano. Venice is also a city of great art.
Valletta, Malta
Here you will see medieval castle, grand churches and minarets (slender towers attached to a mosque from which the muezzin (crier) calls the people to prayer)
Rome, Italy
Imagine you see some of the world's greatest fountains, monuments and churches namely Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Vatican City, the Sistine Chapel and the Colosseum. This will be a haven for avid shoppers.
Barcelona, Spain
Music, Tapas and cafes line the streets of Barcelona. You will want to see the Spanish Village, the Gothic Quarter and the Picasso Museum. The 1992 Olympics helped turn Barcelona into a gleaming metropolis.
Paris, France
Do you want to see great landmarks, Eiffel Tower, the Arch de Triomphe, Notre Dame? Mona Lisa at the Louvre or take a short train ride to Louis XIV's palace in Versailles.
Olso, Norway

Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the London Bridge and the changing of the guard are the things to see before you leave Europe and head to North America.
St Johns and Halifax, Canada
The cosmopolitan St John is a popular young and hip place with impressive views of the harbor and a wonderful castle. In Halifax you have the Bay of Fundy or Peggy's cove along with the Maritime Museum with the infamous Titanic exhibit.
West Palm Beach, Florida
We did not forget the United States on this world cruise along with the Gold Coast beach you have the Palm Beach Zoo, Science Museum and the Norton Museum of Art. This leads us through the gulf for a transit to the Pacific.
Panama City, Panama
The great Panama Canal is a sight in and of itself as you view this man made miracle in Central America. Be sure to visit the rain forest of the Soberania National Park or some of the best deep sea fishing in the world.
Easter Island, Chile
The great Stone Heads known as monoliths were carved from a volcano and moved to stone platforms. If volcanoes and beautiful warm people you seek then this remote island of Chile is it.
Papeete, Tahiti
With the fragrence of the tiare flower wafting through your nostrils visit the Gauguin Museum, botanical gardens or visit the roulettes and enjoy a inexpensive tasty meal.
Lautoka, Fiji
Sugar sugar if you care sugar sugar everywhere in the sugar capital of Fiji. Crystal Clear water in the soft coral capital of the world.

Family Cruises
Is a Cruise Suitable For Families With Children?
They are perfect!!!
Cruising is excellent value for a family holiday with all meals, transfers and entertainment included! Most cruise lines also offer special rates for children and even FREE child places.
Most of the large cruise ships have excellent children's facilities. They offer entertainment and facilities to keep the little ones entertained in a safe environment from 9am to midnight.
The children are usually divided into suitable age groups, so that activities are appropriate for their age. For example age 2-5, age 6-9, age 10-13 and 13 plus, obviously this is just a guide and the age groupings do vary between cruise lines. Each of the age groups are generally given there own area of the ship, a place to call their own! Within these areas are all of the facilities and activities that they enjoy. For example the younger kids will have facilities such as ball pools, climbing nets, craft tables and various games. They will have competitions, fancy dress, mini-disco and often have a cartoon character that visits the kids club. For older children cruise ships offer computer games, music rooms, arcade games and the opportunity to DJ. In addition, most of the large cruise lines have children's swimming pools and splash pools suitable for the under 5's.
Alongside the facilities offered by the kids clubs, many ships offer additional entertainment that is thoroughly enjoyed by children. Including, climbing walls, ice rinks, surf-riders, movies, giant scalectric, theatre performances, bungee-trampolines and circus schools.
Children are also catered for at meal times. On most ships children's menus are offered in the restaurants, taking the stress of meal times away for parents of younger children. Many of the large ships offer early children's buffet dining, to enable the kids to eat before going to enjoy the kid club facilities. They also offer tasty children's meals in the main restaurants.
Children of all ages are welcome on most ships, however some lines do have some adult-only ships. Also, some ships do not allow children under the age of 2 or 3 to be left unsupervised in the kids-club. Each cruise line is different, so check the details before booking!

Budget Tips For First Time Cruiser
Budget Cruise Tips
Cruising is growing around the world and the current economic climate provides one of the best opportunities ever to find a budget cruise. Cruise lines are identifying gaps in the market and making changes to attract more people to the cruise holiday experience. Cruise ships are being designed to provide more inclusive entertainment and activities that are on par if not better than some major holiday destinations. The larger mega-ships are taking resort style holidays onto the seas. The growing number of cruise ships means more competition and fortunately for us lower prices. Even some of the more luxurious cruise lines are feeling the pinch of the economy, so you can even find a budget cruise on board some of the world's luxurious liners.
There are heaps of deals around you just have to look and ask for them. If you are after a budget cruise deal you really need to do your homework. Once you know the sort of experience you are looking for and the amount you are willing to spend, it's time to shop around for deals. Don't be afraid to negotiate a good price, cruise operators need to fill cabins so there is a bargain to be found.
When looking for a travel agent to deal with, definitely find one that specializes in cruises. Cruise specialist companies are popping up everywhere and they know the cruise market well. Some of the larger companies definitely have more buying power. I highly recommend joining their mailing lists so you can receive up to date cruise deals and special offers. Set up a free email account that solely deals with cruise information and check it regularly. There's nothing worse than realizing you missed an email with a great cruise bargain because it was lost in all your other incoming mail.
One of the key things to finding a budget cruise is to either book early or book late. Some of the perks when you book early include: early bird discounts, free cabin upgrades, onboard ship credit and a better selection of cabins. If you are wanting to travel in peak season, have your heart set on a particular itinerary or are wanting a cabin with a balcony, then it pays to book at least 6 months ahead. If you know ahead of time when you want to travel, take advantage of early bird cruises.
Booking late also has its advantages. If you have flexibility in travel dates you can often pick up a bargain cruise two to three weeks prior to sailing. Often travel brokers pre-book cabins and stand to lose money if they don't sell, so they have to sell them at ridiculous prices to get their money back. There are also last minute cancellations which provide cabin openings closer to sailing date which is the perfect opportunity to find a great cruise price.
If you are after a budget cruise the best time to sail is during off-peak and shoulder seasons. Ships are not filled to capacity, so prices are reduced to entice more customers. If you don't mind the weather uncertainty during these seasons then this will be a sensational cruise deal. Be on the lookout for repositioning cruises. During off-peak seasons, cruises relocate to warmer climates. These cruises generally have more sea days than port days and are usually of longer duration. Generally you have to book early but last minute repositioning cruises are possible to find.
So before you go on your first cruise take the time to decide what sort of holiday experience you would like and when you want to travel. There are some amazing budget cruises to be found out there. You just won't want to miss out on.

Hawaiian Cruises
4 Ways to Embark on a Historical Hawaiian Cruise
A Hawaiian cruise is often perceived as a vacation involving beaches and sunsets. While this is true, there is more to Hawaii than meets the typical tourist's eye. Hawaii is teeming with historical and sacred grounds which are rich in culture and ethnicity. If you want a vacation with a twist, going on a historical Hawaiian cruise is the best trip for you.
Here are some tips in planning for your voyage:
1. Get hold of a good Hawaiian historical guidebook:
Hawaii has many preserved historic places. You can find most of these places in a guidebook. Areas for spiritual worship have been preserved and are open for tourists. A guidebook can give you a glimpse to these places because they usually contain pictures and brief descriptions of Hawaii's best kept sacred locations. Guidebooks give you a map with directions on how to get to your destination of choice. They also have suggestions on the food to eat and recommendations regarding the places you can stay in to make your trip more convenient and hassle-free.
2. Look at travel guides and websites:
There are many travel magazines, brochures and other reading materials designed for this type of tours with historical side trips. Most of these publications feature places such as The Big Islandand the Waipio Valley which are two places very rich in history and spiritual culture. By reading about features on these places, you will get a fair idea of what to expect when you visit them. You will also be able to narrow down the locations you want to see so that you can make the best out of your tight schedule.
3. Inquire about package tours from your cruise company:
Many companies offer different island tour packages for cruise tourists. They can give you options to get off the ship and spend a night or two in Hawaii's prime historical destinations. This is also a good option since the cruise company itself will arrange for you transportation from the dock to your next trip.
4. Ask the local people about the best places to go:
A Hawaiian adventure becomes more exciting when you make your trip flexible and you allow yourself to be open to many challenging opportunities you encounter along the way. While lounging at the beach, you can ask locals for tips on how to go around. You can simply make your itinerary while you are there for more exciting excursions. Many historical sites are known to the locals and they will be able to give you tips on which ones you should first visit and how to get there.

Cruising To The Exotic Destinations
How to Get the Best Cruise Deals to Exotic Destinations
A dream cruise holiday does not always have to cost the earth. If you look in the right places, you can get discount cruises to almost any destination, be it Alaska, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and the like.
Follow these tips and you are bound to get the best cruise deal on offer:
1. Go with cruise specialists: It's always better to look for cruise travel agents who do only cruises instead of those who do a mix of things like booking flights, hotels, etc. Cruise booking agents are experts in their business and can let you in on the best bargains going.
2. Stay loyal: Many cruise companies offer attractive discounts to their existing customers. So, if you have previously used a cruise and have had no complaints, contact them to see if they can offer you something you can't refuse.
3. Book off-season: As for the rest of the travel industry, cruises too offer great value for money if you book off-season. For instance, hurricane season is between June-November and this is when you can find a great bargain on Hawaii cruise. Of course, for this, you need to be flexible in your travel dates.
4. Do your research well: Cruise deals are here one moment and gone the next. So, subscribe to e-mail newsletters and stay updated. Impulse buying is not advised as each cruise tour can offer you very different things. So, you need to first be sure of what you want covered in your cruise package.
5. Look online: Often, the best cruise deals are more easily available online. You can also quickly compare offers by different cruise operators and come to an informed decision.
6. Cheap last minute cruises: Often, cruise lines offer unbelievable discounts on late cruises to avoid incurring a loss on an unoccupied room. But do keep in mind that last minute cruises may be cheap but the same may not be true about flights to the port of departure.
As more people discover the joys of cruising, the number of cheap cruises, too, is increasing to accommodate every budget. So, get on board, cruising is the way to holiday!

Discount Cruises
Save Your Money - Book Smart!
Choosing to go for a cruise vacation is a great decision as you can look forward to an amazing time. Unlike regular vacations, a cruise trip promises a completely extraordinary experience that you are certain to relish for the rest of your life. The good news is that several cruise lines are offering discount cruises that offer a whole range of interesting activities and services on board an impressive ship. It is convenient and easy to find discount cruises that rightly suit your budget and bring you a splendid vacation on the seas.
There are two ways of going about finding right discount cruises- you could either get in touch with a travel agency who will help you find a great discount deal on cruises or you could find the best deal yourself through some research. Once you compare different discount cruises' offers, you will be in a better position to decide. It helps to think of what services and activities you are looking for. You could also ask your friends if they know of discounted cruises that they might have been to.
Read the travel section in your local newspaper and look for discount cruises that might be advertised. If you wish to travel to popular destinations such as Mexico or Alaska, there are high chances that you could avail of discount cruises since these are places that are frequently visited by travelers.
When looking for discount cruises, also think of the number of days you would be spending on board. Cruise trips usually last anywhere between 4 days and 2 weeks. Some could even last for a whole month. You will also need to decide on the kind of cruise you would like to go for- ultra-deluxe, deluxe, moderate or budget. All these kinds of cruise packages offer discount cruise offers, though not always.
One great way to find discount cruises is to go for a cruise trip during off-season. This is the time when you will find the ship not so very crowded and therefore, the cruise fares significantly lower. If you are one of those who love to see a crowd, then peak season is your best bet. However, it gets very difficult to find discount cruises during the peak season. If you absolutely have to go during the peak season, you could try booking your cruise tickets at least two weeks before the high season commences, and this way you could benefit from a discount cruise fare.
Opting for an inside cabin will also help you fetch a discount cruise fare. However, make sure that you keep a clock in the cabin as daylight hardly ever gets in there. Another great way to avail of discount is to travel in a group. When you travel in a group with your friends, many cruise lines offer a good enough discount.
Once you have found an attractive discount cruise offer, go ahead, and book it as soon as you can. Sometimes the rates could increase in a days' time. Finding discount cruises is not as difficult as you think. All you need to do is look at the right places at the right time.

Disney Cruise Prices
A Little Disney Magic For All of Life's Champions
Why should professional athletes have all the fun? Hard-working moms and dads deserve to celebrate their successes on Disney cruises-especially at discount prices.
Every year for the last twenty years, you have watched the same post-game commercials: Exultant football players hoist their Super Bowl trophy, proclaiming they are going to Disneyland. You do not begrudge them their day in the "Magic Kingdom," but you inevitably wonder why you do not get some similar reward. Day after day, you take harder hits, rougher blind-side attacks, and more brutal blitzes than a six-pack of NFL quarter-backs, getting muddier and bloodier than they would in a dozen bowl games. Where is your magical Disney adventure? Where are Mickey, Minnie, and all their friends when you need cheering, comfort, and encouragement?
Promise yourself, right here and right now, when you see that very same commercial replayed after this year's big contest, you immediately will go to your favorite online travel site, locking in a great price for a Disney family cruise deal.
Although the two "magic kingdoms" may be "the happiest places on earth," the two Disney cruise ships-Disney Magic and Disney Wonder-are by far the happiest places on the seven seas. The ships feature characters, amenities, and adventures you love about Disneyland and Disney World, and they take you on breathtaking thrill rides no old "E-ticket" ever could match. You do not even have to stand in a long line or sign up for a fast pass. Sure, football players happily float through Pirates of the Caribbean. On your Disney cruise, though, you sail with the Pirates of the Caribbean. Sure, football players may discover it's a small world after all, but from the tenth deck of your Disney cruise ship you will catch a glimpse of Mother Earth's majesty.
Irresistible Disney Cruise Prices
With special discounts, promotions, free upgrades and add-ons, Disney cruise prices have fallen faster than Chrysler stock. Now is definitely the time to book your family's once-in-a-lifetime vacation adventure about Disney Wonder or Disney Magic. Especially look for record low Disney cruise prices at travel sites devoted to nothing but Disney, because they frequently book blocks of rooms for their clients, and they always have the most accurate, up-to-date information on special packages and extended stays. With Disney cruise prices this low, you have no good reason not to pack-up all your teammates and go. No trophy required.

European Cruises
European Waterways Cruises
Travelers are realizing that river cruises offer comfort, convenience and variety. The ship is both a hotel and a means of transportation. You don't have to get up early like you do when on a traditional tour or cruise to see the sites. Your ship will be in a new and exciting place every day. Ranging from picturesque villages, breathtaking riverbanks with castles, colorful fields with windmills or vibrant capitals, every day will be a unique experience on your European waterways cruise.
Over the years, we have found that consumers desire more choices when traveling. Cruise lines responded with open dining, tour operators with more leisurely trips, but until recently, the river cruise industry did not offer the choices that seem to attract new clientele. Now the newer river cruise ships with modern decor, larger cabin options and added amenities have helped the river cruise industry experience considerable growth in a short amount of time. In the age of technology, we also find more clients asking for WiFi, which is not available on many of the older ships. You now travel in more style and comfort than with the older riverboats. Staterooms are spacious and most include floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors with French balconies. You can enjoy fine linen on your hotel-style beds, flat screen satellite TV and radio, safes, hairdryers and many other amenities that make you feel at home. On many ships you even have the convenience of elevators.
From the time you arrive to your first destination you are escorted, guided and waited on by English speaking staff. Once you unpack you are ready to enjoy your wonderful adventure. From medieval castles, to Monet's Giverny gardens or perhaps Egypt's Mysterious Nile, you will not only be awed by the sights but you will also have qualified tour directors and specialist to guide you during your excursions. Many ships also offer theme departures that provide you with a unique opportunity to experience a destination focusing on its music, food and wine, to enrich your subject knowledge by including expert presentations, special concerts and top chefs.
All meals on board are carefully chosen to give you the variety of the region you are visiting along with many of your favorites. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included daily. The meal presentation is outstanding as is the service. You can also enjoy the complimentary wine with dinner along with coffee or tea. After dinner you will be pleasantly surprised by the on board entertainment provided by both local entertainers and the crew.
It is small ship cruising at its best. It provides you with the opportunity to experience history, art and culture unhurried and at a relaxed pace. Rather than having to take a bus to see the sites, in most cases you walk right off of the river cruise and you are already in the center of it all.

First Time Cruiser: What You Should Know
11 Tips For the First Time Cruiser
A cruise vacation can be an extremely expensive vacation but if you follow these tips you could save money and make your vacation even more special.
1. Board the ship way before you set sail. Although everybody knows that you have to be on the ship 30 minutes before sailing not everybody knows that you can board it quite some time before you sail. Take advantage of all the ships amenities before you even set sail. Eat, drink, and play. You could even have a sleep in your cabin. Why sit around for hours in the port where there is usually very little to do.
2. Eat in the dining room rather than the buffet. It can sometimes feel a bit like feeding time at the zoo. The dining room is a welcome break from standing in line for your food. There is not as much choice but it can be a lot more civilized and the food will be of just the same high standard and you will be waited on for a change.
3. The popular classes will have a surcharge that you may not be prepared for but there are plenty of ways to keep in shape aboard the ship. The ship is huge, even covering these large distances on foot can burn a few hundred calories. For the more enthusiastic passenger there may be a running track around the top deck which provides lovely ocean views while you have a run or a brisk walk.
4. Most ships have a great social scene. Take advantage of it and try to join in wherever you can. Everything from art auctions to chess to wine tasting events will be on offer. The ship is specifically designed to be a sociable environment so even if you are traveling alone there is no need to be alone, get out of your cabin and have some fun! If non of that seems great then there's always the ship spa.
5. Be prepared to tip. The average ship worker gets paid peanuts and they do rely on their tips to survive. Tip anybody who gives you a service. This includes everyone, waiters, room service etc.
6. There are usually additional charges for soft drinks and alcohol but the juice stations and soft serve ice cream machines are included. Take advantage of the limitless juice stations, it will save you dollars.
7. You r daily bulletin will show the days drinks specials, these can be a great deal but only if you don't also order the souvenir that usually comes with it.
8. Room service is available 24 hrs a day. There will not be an extra charge for it but remember to tip!
9. There is more than one pool on the ship. If your pool is too busy, the other ones will be the opposite. Hunt the ship for a pool that is the right level for you. You want to be able to relax.
10. Making telephone calls on board is very expensive. It is much cheaper to use the Internet café and email your friends and family....Even cheaper is to wait until you are in port and find an Internet café.
11. Try to book your shore excursions before you leave home, it will be much cheaper.
Use these tips to get the most out of your cruise vacation and make it much cheaper.

Disney Cruise Specials
Cash in Now on Disney Cruise Specials
You never will enjoy a better opportunity to take advantage of Disney cruise specials. Prices on Disney vacation packages never have dropped lower, and special promotions never have offered greater travel values.
It is hardly a secret that world-wide economic slow-down has taken a heavy toll on tourism. Cruise lines particularly have suffered as fuel and food costs have risen, cancellations and vacancies have skyrocketed, and worries about real-life pirates have kept would-be cruisers ashore. H1N1 outbreaks in popular ports-of-call further have discouraged adventurers from hitting the high seas.
Smart shoppers recognize, though, the more other people do not want to travel, the more they should consider traveling. When they search online, eager tourists find bargains galore. They especially find the best online travel services are promoting these types of vacations. When they look carefully at Disney Cruise specials, they frequently exclaim, "That's less than the price of staying home!"
The Kids Will Love a Disney Cruise.
How could the kids not love a Disney cruise? The minute they walk aboard ship, beholding the giant atrium featuring a ginormous statue of Mickey at the hem, they know they have hit the mother lode of fun and adventure. Cruise planners have anticipated every family member's every need. Everybody's favorite Disney characters join in-sometimes even lead-loads of great activities for younger children. When children get tired of following in Donald's and Goofy's footsteps, they can retire to non stop Disney films in big, comfortable theaters, or they can nap in the peace and comfort of their family-friendly suites. Meanwhile, Mom and Dad can relax poolside, on deck, or in one of several full-service lounges. More daring moms and dads may elect never to leave the room, calling the friendly, attentive ship's staff for everything they need.
Everyone Will Love it Even More with Disney Cruise Specials
Do not let the luxurious accommodations, sumptuous dining, and exquisite service fool you. Disney-style luxury comes at a "stay-cation" price. Spectacular deals on these types of family vacations will amaze you. The best online travel sites advertise discounts at up to 60% off; many feature packages that allow children to cruise free. Still others entice with dramatic reductions in air fares and accommodations in Orlando. When you compare Disney cruise specials against your other vacation options, you will see that the old-fashioned road trip and the new-fashioned "stay-cation" cannot compete. Disney Cruise specials make life aboard ship the family's very best vacation value.

Cruise Vacations
Thoughts About Money
What kind of money should I bring on my cruise vacations? This is a question that is asked by many people and is often unanswered. If it's your first time cruising, you will be curious whether you should be traveler's checks, credit cards or cash. Learn how to handle your money and you are on your way to being a cruise expert.
You will have an on board cruise card that can be used like a credit card. It's activated by your major credit card. This card will be used as your identification while on board as well as when you leave the ship while at port. This charge card will give you access to places on the ship and you can use the card for purchases as well. Remember, all things that are swiped on your card have to be paid and if you are on a budget, make sure to check your balance frequently so you won't go over budget. Make sure to check your itemized bill when disembarking the ship to ensure that everything was billed correctly. All charges will be automatically billed to your credit card.
You might as well forget about bringing personal checks on board as these are rarely accepted. Instead, use your credit cards and bring some cash. Many cruise ships have ATM's on board but use your card if you do not want to be the high usage fees (around $5). Many cruise ships arrange currency exchanges with local banks at foreign ports. Make sure to check with your travel agent whether or not the cruise line provides this type of service. Otherwise, you might have to exchange currency yourself, which can be a hassle if you do not know the language of the country you're residing in .
Many times, U.S. currency is accepted at many major ports of call. However, check with your porter to make sure that your currency can be accepted before leaving the ship. These are just a few useful tips on money and cruise vacations.

Royal Caribbean
The Mecca of Cruises
The Royal Caribbean Cruise line is far from average. Most people are amazed at what they see before they even reach their Island destination. Royal Caribbean's cruise lines are one of the most innovative and ground breaking cruise lines in the industry. What makes them unique is that they have a signature Gold Anchor Service among every ship that makes your cruise experience more memorable. They deliver the highest customer service, and they deliver it 24 hours a day.
History
The Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines began in the late 1960's by Norwegian ship owners. They debuted its first ship called the Song of Norway in 1970. Their first mega ship was the massive, Sovereign of the seas which dwarfed every cruise competitor at that time. The Sovereign of the seas introduced the first modern shipboard atrium, with glass elevators and a grand piano.
In 1995, Royal Caribbean cruise built the Legend of the seas, designed for worldwide cruising. It was the most luxurious, most spacious ship that Royal Caribbean had built up to that date. It featured an adult's only indoor/outdoor pool, a mini golf course and a solarium. The next ground breaking ship that was built was the Voyager of the seas. It featured and ice rink, rock wall, and indoor promenade. It was the first ship to feel like a resort more than a ship. They have built and refit many ships since then, vastly improving and upgrading with each new addition.
The next Royal Caribbean ship to make a big splash was the Freedom of the seas which introduced a water park, and on board surfing. It reclaimed the title of the "largest passenger ship" for the Royal Caribbean. The next biggest debut on the horizon for Royal Caribbean is the Oasis of the seas, which will be the biggest in the world. The launch is set for November 2010. 2010
Onboard
The spacious cabins, movie theatres, dance floors, casinos, are the specialties of the Royal Caribbean cruises. There are a full gamut of daytime activities. Depending on which ship you chose you will have access to mini golf courses, surf parks, ice-skating rinks, a boxing ring, rock climbing walls, spas and state of the art fitness centers. The evening activities are impressive as well, they range from Vegas-style shows, to Passenger participation games like the "Newlywed or Not so newlywed" game. They have many clubs/bars with live entertainment, parades and "street performances". If you are sailing on a freedom or Voyager class ship there is a spectacular "must see" ice show. Royal Caribbean hosts 'meet and mingle' parties for any seven night or longer cruises.
Although the meals are not gourmet, they are still excellent and tasty nonetheless. There are alternative restaurants aside from the daily buffet. The accommodations range from the inexpensive standard inside cabin, ocean view cabin, standard balcony cabin, to the more costly but lavish, royal suites (equipped with bars and grand pianos). The Royal Caribbean ships features Wi-Fi hot spots throughout the ship and in cabins. There are also internet cafes available.
The Royal Caribbean has specialized cruises that are put together just for families. They provide youth programs, a movie theatre, arcade hall, and supervised activities for all ages.
On Shore
Depending on your area of interest, you can partake in a Western, Eastern, or Southern Caribbean Cruise, each with it's on unique adventure at the port of call. Snorkel with stingrays, make friends with dolphins, go horseback or mountain biking, take a jeep safari tour, climb Jamaica's Dunn river falls, discover ship wrecks, and the inhabitants of a coral reef. Your options are endless.
So that you can make an informed decision of which Family/Class to chose from here are some highlights:
Sovereign Family- Has an award winning Adventure Ocean Program for kids
Vision Family- Themed dining rooms, lounges, and casinos, splendid golf course
Radiance Family- Spectacular views with its balconies, glass walls and elevators, self leveling billiard tables

Traveling to Nuremberg, Germany
Sights and Interests in Nuremberg, Germany
With a 2007 population of 500,000, Nuremberg sits on the Pegnitz River in the state of Bavaria about 100 miles north of Munich. Best known for the Nuremberg trials, this ancient Bavarian city has historical significance dating back to the Holy Roman Empire.
Nuremberg has a medieval city center that was mostly destroyed in a 1945 attack; however it has been painstakingly restored and has taken the city a long way towards reestablishing the city's romantic character.
There are many architectural sights to be seen in Nuremberg, starting with the Nuremberg castle, which towers over the city and actually includes three separate castles. The old city center features the Hauptmarkt, a picturesque main square that contains the ornate and much photographed Schoner Brunnen (Beautiful Fountain). It is also a famous market for the local delicacy, gingerbread, which can be bought in any of the small bakeries in the main square and elsewhere. There are also some notable stone merchant houses and timber framed houses in the old town.
The principal shopping area is in the southern part of the old town, which also features the old city walls and multiple towers. Handicrafts are sold at a medieval marketplace along the city walls. There are also numerous old churches inside the city walls including the Frauenkirche, a magnificently ornate structure begun in 1360, right on the Hauptmarkt. Also in Nuremberg are several fine museums, notably the German National Museum, which actually houses the original Schoner Brunnen (the one in the Market Square is a replica).
You can also visit the Nuremberg Palace of Justice where the trials of Nazi war criminals were held after World War II, along with the Nazi party rally grounds, a massive open area featuring Third Reich architecture.

The Best Cruise Line
Find the Best Cruise Line For Your Next Trip
When deciding what cruise you'd like to take there are several factors you should consider:
1. Cruise Cost
2. Cruise Length
3. Cruise Destination
4. Time of Year
5. Departure Location
CRUISE COSTS: There are many ways you can find deals on cruise vacations. One of the best ways to to check with the cruise lines directly online. If you have a flexible schedule or if you can book a trip in advance you will get the best prices.
Another way to find great deals on your next cruising vacation is to look at sites like Expedia, Priceline, and Travelocity. If you are a member of an auto insurance club or Costco you can also find good cruise deals through them.
CRUISE LENGTH: If this is your first cruise then consider going on a 3 day cruise just to see how you like the experience. You will have a great time and you will get a better understanding of what you are looking for in a cruise.
CRUISE DESTINATION: What type of cruise are you looking for? Some of the more popular cruises are to Alaska, Mexico, the Caribbean, and European River Cruises.
TIME OF YEAR: For obvious reasons if you are wanting to book a cruise vacation to Alaska you will have to go in the summer. Likewise it's a good idea to check out what the weather will be like before you book your trip!
CRUISE DEPARTURE LOCATION: If the departure location is within a few hours of your house that is a bonus but if you are a day+ drive away from where you will be departing then you may have to look into flying into the departure city. This will involve additional expense of the flight and booking the flight in advance.

Outdoor Camping Equipment
Northwest Territory Tents
If you want to get into camping, then congratulations, you have chosen a great sport! There are thousands of people across the United States and other countries that go camping every single year in order to enjoy the call of the wild and the great outdoors. There are so many reasons to go camping and it would be incredibly hard to list every single one of them here.
Some reasons for camping might include wanting to become one with nature, just having the experience, or even just wanting to get away. Whatever the reason, you can be rest assured that you will have a great time and enjoy your getaway from the rigors of technology and the fast paced world that we live in today.
Unfortunately for some it may be difficult to get into camping because tents can be prohibitively expensive. There is also the fact that some people may only want to go camping for a few days out of the year and don't see the point of investing several hundred dollars in a tent that they will barely use.
Luckily, Northwest Territory manufactures tents that are dedicated to bringing you quality tents at a low price. These tents are an excellent choice for the occasional camper or for anyone who wants to get into camping without a high cost of entry.
For the price, Northwest Territory doesn't skimp on nice features, like the bathtub style floor. This type of flooring helps keeps the inside of the tent clear of ground moisture, making it more comfortable for you.
Additionally, these tents feature sturdy ventilation panels all over so that you will be able to sleep comfortably at night. Good ventilation is also essential during the summer months, when most of us do our camping.
Another benefit to purchasing a Northwest Territory tent is their EZ Glide system, which makes it super easy to zip open and closed the doors and windows, without catching or tearing the fabric.
A popular model is the Northwest Territory First Up tent. Ideal for true camping beginners, this tent comes in just one piece, requiring you to just put it your favorite camping spot, place the supports in the correct positions, and pop the tent into shape. This comes in handy, too, for late camp site arrivals when it's difficult to see in the dark. Even inexperienced campers can have an First Up tent ready to go in less than five minutes.
Northwest Territory has been making tents and camping supplies for years and while their tents aren't suitable for harsh conditions and inclimate weather, they are sure to serve the beginner or occasional camper well for the foreseeable future. So head over to their website and look through their tent selection. You'll probably find something you like, as they have something for everyone, and chances are you will find one at an extremely low price.
You will be able to find these tents at your local discount superstores, like K-mart, Sears, and Wal-Mart.

Budget Your Holiday
Spend Less on a Great Holiday
If you've looked at booking a holiday then you've probably tried to get the best possible deal. This is understandable - we all want to have great trips away, but we want to feel that we're getting value for money.
So finding the right mixture of quality and pricing is vital. In some senses this should be easier today than it has ever been before. We have a much wider range of options available to us, although some would suggest that the increased choice brings its own problems.
It can be difficult to know where the best deals can be found. Before the arrival of the internet, many of us would have booked flights and package holidays at our local high street travel agents.
They were almost the only show in town, so that were the obvious place to go. So were we all getting the best possible prices? The problem with booking in this way is that it can be very hard to compare prices - we don't know whether we might be able to pay less elsewhere.
We could, of course, opt to visit a different travel agents to carry out a price comparison. This might be feasible but would really depend on whether there are alternatives within close proximity. If not, it could be time consuming.
Fortunately, such concerns should be a thing of the past for most of us. The internet offers numerous advantages over this traditional way of booking holidays.
So how should you go about finding the best deal? You can use price comparison sites to get an indication, but these don't necessarily give a complete picture. A better bet might be to find some trusted online travel websites and to see what they have on offer.
Don't forget that you can really make some significant savings, especially if you're prepared to be flexible. Think about when you want to travel and whether you would be prepared to alter your plans by a few days.
Showing such flexibility could help you to save a lot on a wonderful holiday.
